What We Do

Our projects

Transforming Lives Through Purposeful Action

At Morigit Women Foundation, our work is rooted in compassion and driven by purpose. We support women, girls, and underserved communities across northern Ghana with practical, life-changing programs. Every intervention is designed to restore dignity, promote independence, and build a better future—one woman, one girl, and one community at a time.

Women’s Economic Empowerment

We provide financial support and entrepreneurial training to women—especially those affected by domestic or financial hardship. Whether they want to start a food business, trade in local goods, or launch a service, we help them take that first step.

What we offer:

  • Small business grants or capital

  • Business skills mentoring

  • Ongoing support and check-ins

Feeding Support & Emergency Relief

In many of the communities we serve, daily meals are not guaranteed. We provide urgent food assistance to women-led households, widows, and struggling families. Relief packages often include staples like rice, oil, maize, and protein.

Our relief efforts include:

  • Food aid for families in crisis

  • Monthly care packages

  • Feeding support during emergencies

Community Outreach & Philanthropy

We extend our compassion to underserved villages through charitable drives and outreach events. Our team frequently visits communities to distribute supplies, share knowledge, and build trust.

Our community work includes:

  • School supply and clothing donations

  • Hygiene & health sensitization campaigns

  • Supporting single mothers and the elderly

  • Organizing empowerment workshops

Girls’ Education Support

We step in to support the education of girls who are at risk of dropping out due to poverty, early marriage, or lack of resources. From paying school fees to supplying uniforms and learning materials, we ensure girls stay in school—and stay inspired.

We support girls by:

  • Paying school and exam fees

  • Providing books, bags, and uniforms

  • Connecting them to female mentors and role models
